Job Description

The electrical consulting engineering firm in Pretoria West needs an electrical engineer for projects that go from design to commissioning. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Pretoria West, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

The work, day to day

Review PLC and SCADA logic for process control and alarms
Draw up tender specifications and bills of quantities for electrical works
Inspect installations and sign off compliance on completion
Keep single line diagrams and as-built drawings up to date
Guide technicians and contractors on site during commissioning
Design solar PV and battery systems and handle grid connection to NRS 097

You'll need

At least 3 years of electrical engineering work after graduating
ECSA registration as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng or Candidate
Code 08 licence and willingness to travel to sites
Strong understanding of SANS 10142 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
