Job Description

Get hands-on support experience at a hospital group in Mthatha, from password resets to new laptop builds. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll report in Mthatha. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Replace faulty hardware and log warranty claims with suppliers
Connect users remotely with a remote support tool to fix issues
Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
Log, prioritise and update tickets on the service desk system

Must-haves

Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
Patient and friendly with non-technical users
Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma
At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
Code B driver's licence and own car for field posts
