Job Description

Clients sleep better when their tax is sorted, and a mid-tier accounting firm in Sasolburg needs you to sort it. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Sasolburg, Free State, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What your day looks like

Keep client tax files complete for five years
Advise on deductions such as retirement contributions and home office claims
Prepare and submit ITR12, ITR14 and ITR12T returns on SARS eFiling
Prepare VAT201 returns and review input tax claims
Calculate IRP6 provisional tax for individuals and companies
Track filing season deadlines and send reminders to clients

You'll need

Clear writing for SARS letters and objections
Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
At least 2 years of SARS eFiling experience
Degree or diploma in accounting or tax

Helpful, not essential

Postgraduate diploma in tax
Experience with trusts, estates and capital gains tax
