Key Account Merchandising Supervisor

This beverage distributor needs a rep in Richards Bay who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.
• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.

• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area

• Speaking two or more local languages
• Existing relationships with independent retailers

• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Product samples and staff pricing
