Laundry Attendant (Hotel Linen Room)

You'll turn rooms around at a conference hotel in Burgersfort so every guest walks into a room that feels new. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a conference hotel on the Burgersfort side of Limpopo.

• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Clean lobby, lifts and public toilets through the day

• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Grade 10 or matric
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Well groomed

• Experience with industrial laundry machines
• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests

• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
• Share of the service charge or guest tips
