Laundry Attendant (Hotel Linen Room)

Check-out to check-in in under an hour, room after room, at a game lodge in Somerset West. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a game lodge in Somerset West. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry
• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date

• Quick and thorough, with a target of about 14 to 16 rooms a shift
• Well groomed
• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Grade 10 or matric

• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen

• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
• Write how many rooms you usually cleaned per shift. Head housekeepers care about pace as much as quality.
