Job Description

Housekeeping keeps a conference hotel in Pietermaritzburg running quietly in the background. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Pietermaritzburg. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.
Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.

What you need

Weekend and public holiday work
Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
Grade 10 or higher
You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift

Extra points for

Laundry machine and steam press experience
Basic first aid certificate
Chemical handling training
