Linen Room Attendant

You'll clean and set up guest rooms at a bush lodge in Secunda to a checklist standard. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Secunda-based, with most of your time spent at a bush lodge. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.

• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• Grade 10 or higher
• Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day

• Meals on duty
• Monthly award for best room scores
• Uniform and protective gloves supplied
• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts

• Write how many rooms per shift you managed at your last job; supervisors look for that number.
• Many hotels recruit through walk-ins at the staff entrance, so ask for the housekeeping office and leave your CV there.
