Job Description

A data centre in Upington needs infrastructure that just works, and someone to make it so. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Home base is a data centre on the Upington side of Northern Cape.

What you'll actually do

Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Build and maintain virtual machines on Hyper-V, VMware or Azure
Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
Document network diagrams and change records

You'll need

Clear change management and documentation habits
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications

Helpful, not essential

Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
ISO 27001 audit experience
