Job Description

Here your code runs in production, not in a drawer: an insurance company software team in Kimberley. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is an insurance company software team on the Kimberley side of Northern Cape. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What your day looks like

Pair with junior developers to unblock them
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs

Must-haves

Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Experience writing automated tests
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
