Liquor Store General Assistant – Permanent

Shoppers in Sandton judge a neighbourhood supermarket by its shelves, and that is where you come in. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a neighbourhood supermarket. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)

• Grade 10 or matric
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely

• Paid training in store procedures
• Chance to move into till or department roles
