Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

You'll keep a busy frozen-food distribution centre in Mamelodi stocked, picked and moving out on time. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Mamelodi-based, with most of your time spent at a frozen-food distribution centre. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking

• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You can read product codes and count accurately

• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts

• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
