Job Description

Files, diaries and documents all run through you at a debt counselling firm in Kariega. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Kariega, Eastern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What your day looks like

Capture payments and update debtor balances on collection matters
Prepare section 129 notices and default judgment applications
Prepare fee notes and draft invoices for review
Open new matters and do conflict checks on the practice system
Handle incoming calls and give clients straightforward progress updates

You'll need

Experience on legal software such as LegalSuite, AJS or GhostPractice
At least 2 years in a law firm or legal department
Discreet with confidential client information
Fast, accurate typing and strong Word formatting

Extra points for

NCR debt counsellor course
Experience with the Master's Office for estates
Audio typing at 60+ words per minute
