Load Planner (Road Freight) – Immediate Start

Get off the road and into the control office at a distribution depot in Coega. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a distribution depot in Coega. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics

• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Good with Excel and email
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office

• Transport management system (TMS) experience
• Logistics or supply chain certificate

• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Growth to transport manager
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems

• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
