Load Planner (Road Freight) – Immediate Start

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a road freight company in Gqeberha, that could be you. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Gqeberha; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system

• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Good with Excel and email
• Matric
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations

• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Office-based work with a steady roster
