Loading Bay Hand (Beverage Depot)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this container unpacking yard in Pretoria East, and you move the stock in between. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Pretoria East, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop

• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
