Voice-Picking Warehouse Assistant

Every order that leaves this pharmaceutical warehouse in Soweto passes through your hands first. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Soweto, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
