Job Description

Delivery days start early in Thohoyandou, and a parcel sorting hub needs you on the bay before the trucks roll. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a parcel sorting hub on the Thohoyandou side of Limpopo.

What you'll actually do

Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off

What you need

Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
Willing to travel on routes that return late
Friendly with customers at the door
Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note

Extra points for

Past work as a driver's assistant
A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)
