Job Description

You'll catch shoplifting and stock losses at an electronics store in Welkom before they cost jobs. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll report in Welkom. Relocation is not covered for this one.

The work, day to day

Detain suspects lawfully and call SAPS, then write a statement
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft

You'll need

PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
Good report writing
Discreet, observant and honest
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
Available for retail hours including month-end weekends

Helpful, not essential

Retail loss prevention course
Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
