Job Description

Good factory hands stay for years, and this plastic moulding plant in Brackenfell trains from day one. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a plastic moulding plant in Brackenfell. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What your day looks like

Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product

What you need

Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
Available for rotating day and night shifts
Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection

Extra points for

NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine
