Job Description

Sharp eyes and a calm voice are the tools of the trade at an armed response control room in Durban Central. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Durban Central, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What your day looks like

Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
Log every event and action on the monitoring software
Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change

Must-haves

Matric
Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
Computer literate and quick on a keyboard

Extra points for

Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform
Speaking more than one local language
Call centre work in the past
