Job Description

You'll own the monthly numbers for a logistics company in Cape Town CBD, from journals to the management pack. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a logistics company on the Cape Town CBD side of Western Cape.

What you'll actually do

Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes

Must-haves

BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
