Management Accountant (Retail Group)

A mid-sized manufacturing group in Gqeberha needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Gqeberha. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run

• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
