Job Description

Pick up afternoon or evening sessions with an online tutoring platform in eMalahleni and put your subject knowledge to work. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in eMalahleni. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What you'll actually do

Teach one-on-one or in small groups of up to six
Assess a new learner's level with a short diagnostic test
Run live video lessons with a headset, whiteboard app and stable connection
Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners
Log hours and sessions on the agency's booking system for payment
Set practice work between sessions and check it next time
Adjust your pace for learners with ADHD, dyslexia or anxiety

You'll need

Clear, patient way of explaining ideas
Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor
Police clearance for work with minors
Own transport for home tutoring posts

Nice if you have

Experience with IEB as well as CAPS papers
TEFL or TESOL certificate for English tutoring
