Meat Processing Line Worker

Here in Springs, a soft drink bottling plant needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a soft drink bottling plant on the Springs side of Gauteng. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley

• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage

• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Path to machine operator after six months

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
