Medical Aid Claims Administrator

You'll keep the front of a medical billing bureau in Fourways organised so the doctors can focus on patients. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The work is in Fourways, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Open patient files and capture consent forms in line with POPIA
• Send monthly statements and age the debtors book
• Check medical aid membership and benefits before each consultation
• Keep patient records locked and share them only with written consent
• Request pre-authorisation for scans, procedures and admissions
• Take payments, issue receipts and balance the cash-up at close

• Experience on a practice system such as GoodX, Elixir, Medinol or Healthbridge
• At least 2 years in a medical practice, hospital or billing bureau
• Matric
• Confident with Excel and email

• Bookkeeping basics or Pastel knowledge for practice accounts
• Experience with hospital case management and pre-auth

• Parking on site

• Specialist rooms care about the discipline, so say if you've coded for surgeons, anaesthetists or radiologists.
