Practice Manager (Dental Practice) – Experienced

At a medical billing bureau in Vereeniging, your job is clean files, correct codes and money that comes in on time. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a medical billing bureau on the Vereeniging side of Gauteng.

• Open patient files and capture consent forms in line with POPIA
• Send monthly statements and age the debtors book
• Submit claims electronically and work through the rejection report daily
• Code consultations and procedures with ICD-10 and CCSA or NHRPL tariffs
• Check medical aid membership and benefits before each consultation
• Request pre-authorisation for scans, procedures and admissions
• Take payments, issue receipts and balance the cash-up at close

• Confident with Excel and email
• Matric
• Experience on a practice system such as GoodX, Elixir, Medinol or Healthbridge
• You keep patient information private, every time
• At least 2 years in a medical practice, hospital or billing bureau
• Sound knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical aid tariff codes

• Understanding of how HPCSA practitioner and BHF practice numbers are used on claims
• Experience with hospital case management and pre-auth
• Worked for a specialist discipline such as radiology, anaesthesia or orthopaedics

• Specialist rooms care about the discipline, so say if you've coded for surgeons, anaesthetists or radiologists.
