At a busy general practice in Boksburg, your job is clean files, correct codes and money that comes in on time. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Boksburg-based, with most of your time spent at a busy general practice. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Book appointments and manage the doctor's diary on the practice software
• Take payments, issue receipts and balance the cash-up at close
• Open patient files and capture consent forms in line with POPIA
• Submit claims electronically and work through the rejection report daily
• Keep patient records locked and share them only with written consent
• Check medical aid membership and benefits before each consultation

• Matric
• Sound knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical aid tariff codes
• Friendly on the phone and firm about outstanding accounts
• You keep patient information private, every time

• Bookkeeping basics or Pastel knowledge for practice accounts
• Worked for a specialist discipline such as radiology, anaesthesia or orthopaedics
• Medical terminology or clinical coding certificate
