Merchandiser (Supermarket Route)

Out on the road for a personal care brand in Durban Central, your car is your office and the store floor is your pitch. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a personal care brand in Durban Central. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Set up promotional displays and check planogram compliance with photos.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.

• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• Matric

• Existing relationships with independent retailers
• Speaking two or more local languages
• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position

• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
• Cellphone and data allowance
