Merchandiser (Supermarket Route)

Out on the road for a personal care brand in Gqeberha, your car is your office and the store floor is your pitch. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a personal care brand in Gqeberha. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.

• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles

• A sales or marketing certificate
• Existing relationships with independent retailers
• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position

• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Cellphone and data allowance
• Product samples and staff pricing
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts

• Bring numbers: cases sold per month, new outlets opened or growth percentages on your route.
• Name the areas you know and the store types you have serviced (supermarket chains, independents, spazas) in your CV summary.
