Job Description

Passengers in Alberton trust a school transport operator to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The work is in Alberton, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable

What you need

Punctual for very early starts
At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
Patient and friendly with passengers
Clean driving and criminal record
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Medically fit

Helpful, not essential

First-aid certificate
Experience on mine or staff transport routes
