Job Description

Early starts, clear routes and people depending on you: a tour and charter company in Germiston is hiring bus drivers. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a tour and charter company on the Germiston side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters

What you need

Patient and friendly with passengers
Medically fit
Punctual for very early starts
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
