Midibus Driver (School Routes)

You'll carry passengers safely around Tembisa for a staff transport contractor, on time and by the timetable. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Tembisa, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding

• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Punctual for very early starts
• Patient and friendly with passengers
• Medically fit
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)

• Tour coach experience with charters
• Experience on mine or staff transport routes

• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Company uniform

• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
