Mine Security Supervisor

You'll run a shift of officers at a retail portfolio in Mokopane, keeping posts covered and standards high. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Mokopane, Limpopo, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours

• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Matric, with a security management course a plus

• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Cellphone allowance
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Provident fund and funeral cover

• Mention how you handled absenteeism or roster gaps. It is the biggest daily headache for security companies.
• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
