Job Description

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a fintech start-up in Montague Gardens. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The site is in Montague Gardens; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries

You'll need

A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Experience writing automated tests

Nice if you have

Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Docker and Kubernetes experience
