Job Description

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a bank's digital channels team in Prospecton. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Prospecton-based, with most of your time spent at a bank's digital channels team.

The work, day to day

Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries

Must-haves

A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Experience writing automated tests

Nice if you have

Experience in regulated sectors such as banking or medical schemes
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
