Power BI Insights Analyst

Build the SQL, models and dashboards that run the weekly meeting at a retail chain analytics team in Ballito. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Ballito (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
• Build simple forecasting and segmentation models in Python or R
• Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models
• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
• Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources

• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
• Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
• Advanced Excel
• Careful with sensitive customer data
• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)

• Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification
• Python with pandas for data wrangling
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
