Job Description

You'll service, diagnose and repair cars in a busy fleet maintenance workshop in Centurion. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Centurion (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

The work, day to day

Replace clutches, brake pads, discs, shocks and timing belts
Keep your bay, tools and special service tools clean and counted
Carry out roadworthy pre-checks on lights, brakes and steering
Diagnose engine, ABS and airbag faults with an OBD-II diagnostic scanner
Carry out scheduled services to the manufacturer's checklist and interval
Quote extra work you find and pass it to the service advisor for approval

What you need

Your own basic toolbox
Code 08 licence so you can road test cars
Able to meet flat-rate or sold-hour targets
Motor mechanic trade test certificate (Red Seal) or occupational certificate at NQF 4
