Municipal Bus Driver (City Routes)

You'll carry passengers safely around Rustenburg for a staff transport contractor, on time and by the timetable. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Rustenburg-based, with most of your time spent at a staff transport contractor. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives

• Punctual for very early starts
• Patient and friendly with passengers
• Clean driving and criminal record
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence

• Tour coach experience with charters
• Experience on mine or staff transport routes

• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Company uniform

• Talk about safety records in the interview. Bus companies want to hear about zero accidents and on-time runs.
• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
