Municipal Bus Driver (City Routes)

You'll carry passengers safely around Springs for a school transport operator, on time and by the timetable. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Springs (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives

• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
• Clean driving and criminal record
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Medically fit
• Patient and friendly with passengers

• First-aid certificate
• Fluent in more than one language

• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Company uniform
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal

• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
