Job Description

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a data centre in Centurion. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a data centre.

What your day looks like

Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance
Troubleshoot load-shedding related outages and UPS failures
Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs
Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins

Must-haves

Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
Clear change management and documentation habits
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
