Power BI Insights Analyst

Build the SQL, models and dashboards that run the weekly meeting at a retail chain analytics team in Mamelodi. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a retail chain analytics team in Mamelodi. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Build simple forecasting and segmentation models in Python or R
• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
• Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models
• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
• Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA

• Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
• Advanced Excel
• Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them
• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
• Careful with sensitive customer data

• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
• Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst certification
