Night Auditor (City Hotel)

Running the front desk of a business hotel in East London means calm service and a clean shift balance. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a business hotel on the East London side of Eastern Cape.

• Handle complaints at the desk and log them for the duty manager.
• Book shuttles, dinner reservations and game drives for guests.
• Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.
• Balance your cash float and card slips before handover.
• Take card pre-authorisations and settle folios at checkout.

• Matric
• Honest with cash and card payments
• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
• You can work rotating shifts, including nights
• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• Clear spoken and written English

• Opera PMS or Protel certificate
• A foreign language such as German, French or Portuguese
• Revenue or yield management exposure

• Paid system training in the first month
• Service charge share at some properties
• Meals on duty and uniform supplied
