Night Shift Security Officer (Grade D)

Steady 12-hour shifts at a gated residential estate in Paarl for PSIRA-registered officers. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a gated residential estate in Paarl. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register

• Clean criminal record
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Provident fund contributions
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
