Reception Security Officer (Office Tower) – Fixed-Term

Steady 12-hour shifts at a distribution warehouse in George for PSIRA-registered officers. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is in George (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer

• Speaks and writes basic English
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Clean criminal record
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
