Nursery Worker (Seedlings)

Harvest time on a commercial seedling nursery near Polokwane means early mornings, full crates and paid overtime. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Polokwane, Limpopo. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Follow the re-entry times after spraying, as the signs show
• Tie up tomato and pepper plants in tunnels
• Clean and store picking bags, ladders and secateurs
• Weed beds by hand or with a hoe
• Wash hands and use the field toilets for food safety
• Keep your picking card or tag count for daily pay
• Move irrigation pipes and check drippers for blockages

• Physically fit for bending, lifting and climbing ladders
• Follows farm hygiene and safety rules
• Available for the full harvest season
• Careful with fruit, since bruised fruit is rejected
