Job Description

Packing season at a citrus packhouse near Burgersfort means lots of shifts and lots of work. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The site is in Burgersfort; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

The work, day to day

Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line

You'll need

Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Arrives on time for early shifts
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Basic counting and reading for labels
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Quick and neat with your hands

Helpful, not essential

Matric for QC posts
Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
Forklift licence for palletising roles
