Job Description

Packing season at a table grape packhouse near Burgersfort means lots of shifts and lots of work. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Burgersfort (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Sort fruit by size, colour and blemish on the packing line
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run

Must-haves

Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Quick and neat with your hands
Arrives on time for early shifts
Basic counting and reading for labels
Valid ID or permit

Extra points for

Previous packhouse work
Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
Matric for QC posts
