Job Description

A public TVET college in Boksburg needs a facilitator who can teach, assess and keep the paperwork audit-ready. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a public TVET college in Boksburg. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What you'll actually do

  • Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
  • Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides
  • Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
  • Keep attendance registers and learner files ready for SETA verification
  • Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
  • Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
  • Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners

You'll need

  • At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field
  • Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
  • Good report writing and record keeping
  • Own transport for training at client sites
  • Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
  • Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach

Helpful, not essential

  • Experience with learning management systems such as Moodle
  • Trade test certificate for artisan training posts
  • SDF registration and WSP/ATR submission experience

On offer

  • Travel allowance or company car for site training
  • Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
  • Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
