Job Description

You'll watch the screens and radios at a remote video monitoring centre in Benoni, and send help the moment something is wrong. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Benoni-based, with most of your time spent at a remote video monitoring centre.

What you'll actually do

Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
Log every event and action on the monitoring software
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio

What you need

Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
Clear speaking voice on radio and phone

Nice if you have

Speaking more than one local language
Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform
Call centre work in the past
